UWACS is a 100 plus strong mixed-voice choir. We have members of all backgrounds and ages, united by a shared love of choral music. We perform 3 - 6 concerts a year at venues such as Winthrop Hall at UWA.
Membership is by audition. We hold regular auditions for prospective new members, which are scheduled according to demand. Auditions last up to ten minutes, you will be asked to sing some vocal range exercises and aural tests plus some excerpts from the repertoire we are rehearsing at the time. Members are not required to be able to sight-sing, however the ability to read music is beneficial.
Prospective members are welcome and encouraged to attend a few rehearsals to get to know the choir before deciding to audition.
