As the recipient of an award from the BBC (British Broadcasting Corporation), she gave solo recitals on the BBC and Radio Eireann and at London recital venues including Wigmore Hall.
In Perth she has worked as a chamber musician, teacher and examiner.
Irene has been the Accompanist for UWACS since 2005 and has rarely missed a rehearsal over that period.
